Spare Some Change
A day in the life of Kenneth Mathews, an unusual panhandler on Manhattan’s
wealthy Upper East Side. A cultivated and intelligent person, he appears
in the Al Pacino movie ‘Looking For Richard’ in which he explains why
Shakespeare’s plays are still modern. In this film, he explains how he
uses some of Freud’s notions of the unconscious to get people to open
their wallets. He shows that one can live on the streets and have a rewarding
life.
