Mending Ways: The Canela Indians of Brazil

The Canela tribe of the grasslands of Central Brazil has kept a vibrant ritual life, important even after 200 years of contact with outsiders. Extra-marital sex has been an important part of sharing in their culture. Co-produced with the Smithsonian Institution, this is the story of three Canela people, their lives and loves over a 20 years.
