Oscar-winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler documents an eclectic blend of musicians and performers, including Burt Bachrach, Gladys Knight, Mick Fleetwood and many others, as they journey to Cuba to interact with Cuban music and social scenes and prepare for a concert designed to bridge cultural and political differences.
