Day two continues with film and video screenings at the various venues (see schedule) and our first workshop. (Please note: seminar panelists attendance is subject to availability.) As part of our Cuban Fiesta we will screen "Paradise Under the Stars", a new Cuban film. The evening's festivities will include the Artistic Director's reception for the filmmakers and artists.

Ojai Film Festival 2000 will be the World Premier screening of "A Place at the Table" from the Teaching Tolerance Project, followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.

"Buena Vista Film Club: New Visions of Filmmaking in Cuba" An inside look at the recent explosion in Cuban filmmaking and music that is breaking down the old barriers of the Cold War embargo.

Bill Hendricks, photographer, has been a frequent visitor to Cuba and the Cuban Film Academy. He will show clips and discuss the work of a young avant garde Cuban filmmaker, Miguel Coyula. John Anderson, a producer/director now at work on a documentary about Cuba: "From Cuba With Love." Joan Churchill and Alan Barker, documentary filmmakers, "Lily Tomlin," "Soldier Girls," "Gimme Shelter" and "Jimi Plays Berkeley" have taught in Cuba. They will show clips from their respective documentary films in progress and talk about Cuban cinema, the state of filming in Cuba today. Their discussion will be followed by a Q & A session with the audience.
