Dear Friends,
The
On November 15, 2000, nearly two years of intensive effort by more than a hundred volunteers culminated in the opening of the first Ojai Film Festival to an overwhelmingly positive response from filmmakers and filmgoers alike. What we saw and experienced that first year was a Film Festival that brought to its audience a great diversity of unique motion pictures from around the world, including many groundbreaking works that would otherwise have been inaccessible.
Today, as we embark on our third year, that energy and enthusiasm continues to flow. The Ojai Film Festival has chosen the phrase "Enriching the Human Spirit Through Film" as its guiding principle. As Artistic Director, I invite you to view and be touched by the creative efforts of the participating filmmakers in our Festival and share in this unique opportunity to celebrate the art of film.
Sincerely,
Steve Grumette
Artistic Director
