especially Sharp and Sony,
were dubious and skeptical
when I first spoke to them.

checked out our web page
that they decided they
wanted to become
involved with the Festival.

ExperClick.com, Inc.

As the front end web developer for ExperClick - an online auction site for web advertising - my job was to create the "look and feel" to convey to advertisers and website owners that their message reaches its "target." Since the interor pages were the same, color coding was the only clue to the reader.

Mercury Software Solutions

This client requested 3 prototype examples utilizing a tree photograph, his logo and the company slogan. He provided the high rez photo and line art. Working via email, I customized the design to his preferences. Similar graphics are color-coded for five distinct sections of the website.

The Spot

In order to attract a younger online audience, newspress.com hired an intern to evaluate what we could do. She came up with a plan for a weekly "you've been spotted" campaign at the local pubs, you know, go online at The Spot to see your photo. But after she went back to school, no one volunteered to take over. I guess the rest of us are all too old for the pub crawl.

Scene Online

Scene Magazine is the Santa Barbara News-Press' weekly entertainment insert. My efforts to jazz up the online appearance earned me the Employee of the Month award. Every week the surrounding "web-safe" colors changed based upon the cover photo. I used a different typeface for the date based upon the mood from the photo.
